important questions before buying swapmagic
hello
would u plz help me with my confusion ? :(
i'm very impressed of this product especially it doesn't need any Soldering
i'll tell u what i'll do:
1- i'll buy a new ps2 SCPH-90004 CB PAL region black color
2- i'll buy SwapMagic v3.8 CODER PAL from here-or if u have better&cheaper site plz suggest-
plz answer me these questions:
1- most of my games are NTSC/US region, will i be able to play all of my NTSC/UC ps2 games on my PAL ps2 via swap magic?
2- does swap magic info alone is enough to run imported games ?or should i buy these parts
3- if i have to buy these parts if they are essential to swap magic to play all of my games, will i truly be able to close ps2 led as described?
4- based on the tutorial here
if i bought the parts from the previous e-shop, am i only required to just use one part of them which will be the metallic one -part E as in the tutorial- ??
im looking for your detailed reply cause i'll buy based on your description
NOTE: i can buy a new ps2 mod-ready with less cost and higher reliability of playing imported games, but i like my consoles to be new from manufacture without any internal modded parts even if it cost me a little
:help:
regards

Yes.
It's been a while since I've used SM so I'm doing this from vague memory.
After selecting start game (or whatever it says) you'll get three boot options PAL Normal NTSC.
Where your PS2/TV is PAL you will want to select PAL when booting NTSC games and Normal when booting PAL games.

parts Yes, you will need some swap tools, which you choose is up to you, there is a free method called the tape and tissue method (if I recall correctly) you can find a tutorial on Youtube.
3- if i have to buy these parts if they are essential to swap magic to play all of my games, will i truly be able to close
ps2 led as described?
I don't know I've never personally used them, I have one of these .

If that's what it says then probably.
I personally use Free MCBoot with ESR to boot all my games as it's direct boot and has high compatibility.
You should look into it, it's free.
I don't recall if your model ps2 works with it but all the info can be found at their official forums.

that's good, i asked bout this cause i saw a list of compatibly for the games that can/cant be running by magic swap, but it seems it's not valid and every thing is running perfectly
but this method is making me open the ps2, i dont want that :(
BUT IF:

hope so ^_^

hmmmm it seems that u have PS2 Slim (7000x), as i read before this is for your model but wont be needing it with PS2 Slim (9000x)
I personally use Free MCBoot with ESR to boot all my games as it's direct boot and has high compatibility.
hmmmm, ok i'll check on it
if it's better than magic swap i'll use it, IDK if it's free or not, i just need a reliable product ^_^
u were a great help , thanx ^^
