Default Swap magic and Shadow Hearts Covenant

Does this game save at the end of disc 1? I've read conflicting reports that it saves and you restart disc 2 from your save like you would with any multi disc game. While others have reported it's a live swap. I just tried to load disc 2 and start a new game, it prompts for disc 1 and will not load when swapped. This was just a test in case the game has a live swap. I'm four hours in and just want someone to confirm it actually saves at the end of disc 1.

It's been a while since I've played it but I seem to remember a save prompt prior to the change over.

You can always use your SM to install Free MCBoot and use ESR to load your backups.
You won't have to worry about swapping anymore.

I use freemcboot, hd loader, and OPL on my phat. I use my scph 90001 for disc games that don't work with loaders. I've looked into ESR but never really bothered. Since OPL this game is probably the only use my 90001 will ever see.

If I recall correctly that game works fine with OPS2L.

No, it still freezes. Maybe I'll patch this to ESR later tonight and try to load a new game from disc 2 and see if disc 1 will play just to be sure.

Well I tired ESR patching and they successfully swapped. Started swap magic on the scph 90001, launched uLE, lauched ESR beta r9b dvdv direct.elf renamed to ESR.ELF, and placed it in mc0:/BOOT/. Put in disc 2 and started a new game, prompted for disc 1, successful swap. So I guess I'm covered if there is no save prompt at the end of disc 1.
