    Default Swap magic troubles...

I'm going to do something here I don't normally like to do..I'm asking for help. :|

I'm mostly a figure it out myself guy, but I've had it at my wit's end with this BS I get from swap magic. I'm running a slimline PS2 and swap magic coder 3.8, it seems to work sometimes, not work other times. I was using it with .hack//infection on a memorex DVD+R, but when I got a new pack of the same media, I burned fate/unlimited and tales of the abyss at 4.0x on ultraISO. However, when I went to load these games in swap magic, all it gave me was a black screen. I'm not really sure if it's the media(Which has had success before), the download(Which I don't think it is, I got it from here, and I don't think you'd run so long with a history of bad downloads), or just swap magic being a stupid ****(Most likely.). I'm not really sure what methods I should go about trying, but most likely I'm going to try cleaning my swap magic disc, because now even THAT isn't reading again ~_~. I'm tired, I'm a little pissed off, and I'm looking for some advice. Thank you for any help you may provide.

    There is your problem.
You should use ImgBurn it is a much better burning software.
The recommended speed for burning PS2 games is half the maximum speed for the chosen media and where all disks today are max of about 16x the mid range is 8-10x.

You should also use your Swap Magic disk to install Free MCBoot and use ESR to load your games.
Swap Magic is outdated antiquated crap.

Ah alright. I probably used imgburn at one point, since I realized I still had it. I see now why you reccomend ESR in every single swap magic support thread though, I'll give ESR a shot.

I recommend ESR because of high compatibility and the whole no swapping needed aspect.
Out of 200 dvd based games maybe 3 of them I couldn't get to work with ESR.
