Thread: I need help plz with making back ups plz read

i have a fat ps2 and the real swapmagic disc im trying to back up my disc games and try to do this with Alcohol 120% and ImgBurn and DVD Decrypter and Nero rom and i make the iso and burn it with all of these programs try it with swap magic and it saids not the ps2 disc ive try tdk dvd-r and memorex dvd-r and i dont know y ive tryed like 10 different games still dont work but if i put the real game in then it works perfect so plz help if you can thanks....

Have you followed the instructions to SM exactly to the letter?

How did you rip your image?

How did you burn your image?

You have to have a disc in the tray with a high TOC for Sm to work, a good example would GTA San Andreas or Vice City

Rip with imgburn and burn at half the max speed of your media with imgburn, you should have no problems running your games

i think maybe im burning it right but im tryin to use the swapmagic3.8 coder elf i still have to take off that front door cover to use it or no ?? but just cant figer how to get it to work i have free mcboot on mc if you could give me like step by step how to do it with the elf

The elf will not boot backups. If you use FMCB then you could patch the game with ESR before you burn them then boot it with the ESR launcher. However, ESR and FMCB have to be installed on the card.

Otherwise you could use the original SM you have; there are guides on their website on how to use it.

Sorry, but I cant make a new topic for some reason. However, I am in need of help. Both my fat and slim PS2s have issues holding me back from modding them. With the fat, my disk drive will only come out about an inch, and I dunno how to realign it. With the slim, the two deeper screws will not turn. Is there something holding them, or a way to loosen them?

thanks N1ghtWalff ive used ESR but didnt like it cuz i cant play online thats y i thoght that if i used the elf i could just copy and run the elf with the copyed disc in there but.. thats ok but thanks for making me understand that.. is there a patch out there some where i can ESR games like socom 3 online thats my biggest problem i have a real copy of the disc so i have the disc ID but there got to be a way for ESR to be patched to go online with socom 3 if you how plz tell or a link that will help patch it for online

sorry I don't know... I never tried to go online with ESR or SM. But if you have the original, wouldn't it be easier to use that?

just tryed to keep the real copy in good shape cuz my kids dont put them back in the cases and they get all messed up but thanks your help
