Default Moderator Guidance Thread - Read It Fellas!

    Moderator Guidance
    Thread

What do Moderators do and what are the purpose of them?

Moderators are here to enforce the rules, help members out, and help the community forums to be very safe and fun. Moderators are always free to answer your forum questions. Don't ever feel obligated if it is a dumb question, just PM them or post in the help section and I'm sure they will answer them no matter what. If you feel uncomfortable with anything you should contact any moderator here. They are here to help you out, not to abuse you. If you want to contact any of the moderators right now I will a list of them.

Current Administrators or Moderators at PS3ISO.COM:

The current Administartors and Moderators were hand picked by the site owner Bojeunx.

Before I list the Administrators, I will have to tell you who they are. They are in complete control over the whole board and have much more power then a forum Moderator. They can also impeach moderators if needed. These Admins. Can carry out any kind of rule or law to the forums, if needed. The root admin. are again like said before me.

    Current Forum Administrators & Admins:

    - chrisr9191
    - Coldmine
    - fairblack
    - Master Shin
    - The Doctor
    - Titntin
    - Bojeunx

Like I said before contact any of them if you need guidance of anything. They're site's root admin, so they are busy enough. That's why we have Moderators to moderate the forums when the Administrator(s) and Admin(s) are doing other stuff.

What kind of powers do moderators have?

They can sticky a thread, close threads, move threads, edit posts, delete posts, warn members, and carry out bans. And that is pretty much it. If you have any more questions, just post them here and tell me what you think.

    Sticking a thread:

When a Admin/Mod sticky a thread, that thread is meaninful to the forums. Either the thread would be rules, debates, or etc. then it is important to the forums. Moderators don't sticky every thread. Only something important or related to a topic.

    Locked or Close Threads:

When a Admin/Mod close or lock a thread it could be for 2 reasons.

    1. It violates the forum rules and it is disturbing any members the Moderator(s) will lock or close the thread. They won't delete because of getting other members mad of losing their posts.

    2. It is a very old topic that nobody discusses anymore and immature members bring back up after a year. Then the Moderator(s) will close it.

    Moved Threads:

Moderator(s) will move thread if neccessary. There is only one 2 reasons why they would move a thread.

    1. It is in the wrong forum and needs to be placed in the neccessary forum.

    2. Or it is absouletly useless so they move it to the spam forum.

    Editing Posts:

They will edit your posts if it violates any of the Forum Rules. Moderator(s) will also give you a warn for violating any part of the PS2ISO Forum Rules.

    Bans, Warnings, and deleting:

Let's start out with bans. Moderator(s) will take action if you make a racist or very strong worded flame post and maybe even spam. It depends how bad it is, Moderator(s) will make the decision. It may result in the following 2 punishments:

    1. Ban- The Moderator(s) will ban you, depends on how bad you are. They can give you a pernament ban, meaning that you can NEVER come back to the forums. Or they can give you a temporary ban. Depends how long they want a ban. Then there can be the worst bans of all, the IP BAN. A IP ban means that you can't access any part of this site. Even the front page. Remember Moderator(s) will take ACTION, if the Forum Rules aren't followed.

    2. Warnings- The Moderator(s) will give you a warning depending what you did. I already stated above. Just follow the rules and you will be fine. But they may give you a Warning LVL before they give you a ban, only if you do it repeated times.

Now we got the ban and warning parts finished. Now we go on to DELETION of posts and threads.

Moderator(s) will delete any kind of threads or posts if it contains anything bad like porn, flaming, etc. Everything has been said in the forum rules too.

Now you read the moderator guide, so have fun. Now you can enjoy the forums and to be safe and fun!

Now before I finish this thread, I just have to give a big congratulations to all the Administrators and Moderators of how much time they spent to help all of us members. You guys earn it.

    Thanx for reading,

Note to Mods: You can revise this anytime you want guys.
