    Why is this system have next to none malfunctions then the Xbox 360? Well simple...It is better.

    The Xbox was my childhood god. I had a ps2 and a Gamecube and well hey got pretty boring.

    Ps2 was nothing but Dmc games and god of war and Gamecube was nothing but Mario though I enjoyed my Gamecube all the way!
    Sonic adventures 2 Battle was awesome!

    Then the Xbox came to my life... As soon as i opened that box to take out another box it was awesome! That box was packed with all these features....4 controller ports! And Halo!. I played Halo all the time with my friends and this weird robot game that just plain kicked ***!. I also got Castlevania: Curse of Darkness and man that game is legendary to me!

    Then came the time when I modded my Xbox.. It was sweet! 1000's of neo geo, cps1, cps2 and cps3
    Snk vs Capcom. That was sweet!

    Then the sad thing happened... I had to sell it.. NOOOO!!!! Damn school supplies..... But it's school before games right?

    Then my friend gave me his!!! YAY!!!! But there is a problem..
    No games!!

    never got around to modding my xbox but i bought it for $20 i dont have an ide port on computer and idk how to solder and i dont have a cheat manger

    XBOX1 is not retro gaming, it's last gen. Retro is NES, TG-16, Neo Geo, SNES, N64, Genesis...et cetera.

    ^ right, shouldn't be considered retro. But I'm not here to rain on your parade, the feeling is mutual, Xbox was and still is the best console (ps3 is slowly approaching that with some of the homebrew now, but xbox really had it all!)

    SNK vs Capcom was **** IMO. Capcom Vs SNK 1&2 was better. I never owned any of that gen system but I could see that games like Kingdom Hearts, Dark Cloud, ICO, Snake Eater, Sly, ratchet and clank,..Colossus, SOCOM. Where the type of games I would look for in console games. Only thing that Xbox had that I can remember is Halo and fable and both games turned out to be way better on PC.

    I have a modified xbox in my room that I never touch. The only reason I have it was because I got a nasty itch and wanted to play Red Dead Revolver. Makes a good media center but it lacks the hdmi output, which is why I hope that a good xmbc port or something comes out for the PS3

    "It had emulators" is about as good of a case for a console as "I can own it as well as all my other systems". Instead of comparing what they can emulate, compare what exclusives they have. The Gamecube and PS2 had a much better lineup than the Xbox.

    I use my xbox everyday as a media center...got a crappy 480p tube tv in my room that it works good for =]
