Cool I'm an a**hole when my meds wear off, and I'm sorry

I have gotten mad for no reason at people today and I am sorry. when my meds cycle for my pain management come around to the back end, when the morphine starts to wear off and I still can't take more for safety reasons, I become a complete a**hole.

I freely admit it. It's not a complete excuse, but I am trying to explain my situation. I don't expect you to believe me but if you look at my posts you will see basically two posting styles. One very helpful and one very petty. Both are me depending on what time of day replied.

To the people I got testy with yesterday and this morning (eastern time GMT-5) I apologize. I really do try to control my temper but when you are in pain and know there is NOTHING you can do but sit with it until your next round of medication comes around to dull it, well, it can get interesting.

I've had my meds and time for them to take effect, and wanted to say this before I went to bed and wake up tomorrow in a crap mood. LOL

Please take no offense by what I say, I truly no not what I type at times.

Thank you for taking the time to read this all.

I've been addicted to opiates for a long time for the same reason, impossible to get off really, though I've cut back allot. The cold turkey effect is just horrible, But what are you meant to do?

No idea what you've said, but good luck with that

I was getting all pissy with random people all over the PS3 section of the forum and I wanted to explain myself why I can be a great person one moment and a d*ck the next.

I have a HUGE hole, yes a f*cking hole, at the base of my back (lumbar area). It's healed A LOT, used to be a time you could see the tip of my spine. YUCK but now I need all sorts of morphine and junk to keep my sanity. Not to mention being stuck in the same room for the last year slowly drains the tact out of one when all you have are your thoughts most of the time.

It's understandable. My uncle was a roofer and got into a fight were he was thrown
from a roof. He had back pains/problems after that and had to take opiates.
He got so addicted to were if he wasn't high, he was a straight @sshole
but the most fun dude to be around when he was good.

Long story short. His insurance eventually cut him off. He couldn't afford
the opiates anymore, lost his mind and blew his head off.

Be very careful with addictions, they'll kill you.

Yeah, I play PS3 and watch Netflix pretty much all day, hence why it was so important for me to have a CFW with PSN access so I could get Netflix to sign-in. But now I have a roku box so that problem is fixed from now on.

I'm actually lucky in the fact that aside from spaghetti I don't have an addictive personality. I used to take morphine pills 3 times a day but now am down to just two. Let's just say for the first few days you did not want to be around me for too long. LOL:evil:

how did you injure your back?
and I am glad you got another way to have netflix without having to use ofw (or an xbox with a live subscription)
I just stick to torrents for my media fix(utorrent 3.0 has a streaming option)

Morphine is typically only used for cancer patients. I believe the docs are trying to kill you. Morphine is a very dangerous drug. I'm not knocking your pain here either. I understand that but using morphine seems like the docs are placing you on your death bed.

I'm not a fan of prescription drugs but I know people need them. My dad passed away over 2 years ago & he had taken Lortab for over 12 years straight for pain. He suffered from degenerative disc disease & Lupus. That's why he was taking Lortab. However, he actually died from complications of esophageal cancer surgery.

I'm just concerned your taking morphine. Have you tried other pain drugs and they not worked? I remember my grandmother was given morphine about 2 weeks before she passed away. She may have been pain free but it placed her in another world. She was gonna die from cancer anyhow but I'm not so sure the morphine didn't speed up her death. Thanks!

morphine is used often in medicine. and used properly the only danger is addiction.
but it all comes down to what the doctor thinks is best

Did you not read my previous post? I stated that it was typically used for cancer patients. That was my point. I know it can be used for other medical reasons as well but it's typical for cancer treatment.

It's my personal opinion that using morphine for anything other than extreme cancer situations is a bad thing. Morphine has been linked to actual deaths. That's why I say some docs seem to wanna speed the death process up for cancer patients. Because it can kill.

I'm no doctor but I do have some negativity towards them. This is from my own experience & the family members that I've lost in the past. I feel their treatment methods are very questionable in many instances. I'm just sharing my opinion & I'm entitled to that. I'm not trying to start anything. I respect others opinions as well. Thanks!
