Thread: WTF hollywood ?

First off i am not american so sorry for poor grammar
Am i the only one who feels insulted by watching the major hollywood movies .
just because we posses the technology doesn't mean we have to use it to add unrealistic action scenes to movies.examples

Wanted : most the movie but specificly when the guy is standing in the middle of the road and shes going top speed of a real fast sports car and she doesn't slow down just skids sideways for a second and magically the guy is in the passenger seat i mean how did she get the passenger door open not counting force of gravity the would be pushing against the door at that speed or why didn't the car cut his legs off or just mow him over

SALT scene she rolls off a bridge and not in a car mind you just her body and lands on an oncoming diesel on the highway and doesnt get mangled and roll off instead she just stops and gets up fine and jumps to other vechiles going in the opposite direction

Journey to the center of the earth (brender fraiser) :they fall down a shaft thats thousands of feet deep and land right on a giants rock and there all still alive not even a bruise

Indiana jones crystal skulls : hes swinging on vines like tarzan while following jeeps at top speed and he flies out of the woods and lands in a jeep

The Other Guys: i just started this last night and stopped after about 5 min in that 5 min there was regular cops getting shoot directly in there windshield with multiple guns no one gets hurt the car impales a bus then they drive the bus fast and the cop driving the bus slams on the brakes and skids sideways to slingshot the car with his partner so he can shoot at the enemy while car is being slingshot towards enemy that was enough i will not subject myself to this kind of crap anymore wtf hollywood

There are so many of these horrible action movies that i cant remember all of them i watch several new movies everyday and i can be 5min into it or 1hr once they do something just ridiculously stupid i stop it and delete it
i mean its one thing if the character is superhero or superhuman etc meaning he or she is not just a regular person

Movies are just make believe, you can do whatever you want in them, its just a form of escape for everyone to enjoy

I'm glad I can't say my reality sucks, but fantasy is much better!

It's a movie and they contain special effects.
That's basically what the industry is all about now dude!
Special effects are fascinating and it certainly catches the audience's attention.

I prefer realism in my movies although "far outedness" is a good break from the norm once in a while.
I've seen some things in real life that put special effects to shame, quite a few things just can't be recreated believably with fx.
