Thread: HEEEELP!!!!

i need help, i have downloaded Tekken 3 and Medievil for PSX i burn using DVD Decrypter usually 4x for PSX but this time i burned it twice once on 4x and once on MAX but when i put it in my ps2 wont even recignise that the disc is even in the ps2?!!?!? it just goes straight to browse / system configuration. what am i doing wrong?! or is it my PS2?

extra info - tekken 3 had just an .iso file and Medievil has just a .img i dont use any extra programs for my ps2 it is just modded

you are burning on cd or dvd?

Not all PS2 modchips allow backups of PSX games to run, so what modchip have you got?

i dont really know what modchip but it is on a slim ps2 and can play any region game. i no i can play burnt PSX games because i have got a few others which i have downloaded

What media are you using? Usually, low quality media results in a low quality burn. Make sure to buy good quality media! Also, may I suggest downloading and using IMGburn. Its basically an upgraded version of DVD decryptor except with much better burning capabilities and more features. Always burn at MAX speed.

after burning correctyl at low speed,

since you have a mod chip, that wont let you play PSX games
1. download a copy of swap magic cd version
2. download psxloaderELF to a flash drive
3. rename it to smboot0.ELF
4. create folder on flash drive called SWAP MAGIC
5. put the renamed elf in the folder you just created
6. boot your swap magic
7. when it loads, press ↑+L1 together, wait for psx load to load
8. follow on screen instructions
9. after all that, play the game

NOTE: Download swap magic CD version, since psx games are CDs
You may also need a real PSX game, not sure never tried with a mod chip before

no but i have other PSX burnt games e.g. spyro 1, 2 and 3 and FFVII which i have downloaded from here, thats what i dont understand?

if these work, ita an issue with the ISO, media or burning

if media and burning were done the same way, maybe you downloaded a RIP, not a full game

i dont think it was the proper game because it said that he had cut out some music but i dont no if that would affect it or not :S
