Method Safety?
Heyas, I'm wondering if anyone can tell me more information about the method used in this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwTvr...eature=related
somebody somewhere said that it bricked their ps2, others are saying it works perfectly fine, and so on and so forth. Any info, pros and cons, etc., would be great, thanks.

Re: Method Safety?
Hey man,
Yeh iv'e used that a few times.
It can't brick your console per-say but it can wear down the spin drive mechanism if done incorrectly.
Yes it works.
Just make sure when doing it don't pur too much pressure on the disc drive when inserting the backup
Cheers......... (

Re: Method Safety?
From personal experience this method works. But the background music in the vid is there to cover up the godawful scraping sound when swapping the discs out. ;D Suitable for people with quick hands! I use psxlauncher.elf now instead.

Yep the sound is crappy but that .ELF doesn't work for older machines so this swap can be useful...............although it's pretty easy to get a codebreaker disc that avoids all this.
