So, I know of the swap trick, but is there any other way, thats safer for the console? I 'm not interested in playing the games with a PC Emulator, I tried for a week with FMCB and PSXLauncher.elf.

There used to be a little box that plugged into the back of the psx and then you needed a little spring to keep the button pressed down but I just don't know where you would get one of those these days. I tried to search for one a while back but I can't even remember what they were called.
I believe the PSXLauncher.elf only works on PS2 versions nine and up. I've done the double swap trick, not the easiest thing to do. I want to try the cheat disc method. On some PS2's you can use the swap trick after loading an original PSX game without any additional software.
I used to do the cheat disk swap method but it got annoying after a while so I switched to using ePSXe.
With a PS2 controller and TV out on your video card you can't really tell the difference.
