Thread: PSX games region unlocked after Swap Magic/slim PS2 swap trick?

Hey,
I was just wondering before purchasing Swap Magic, or taking advantage of the slim PS2 swap trick, if NTSC PSX games will play on my PAL PS2?

ie: put my PAL PSX game in and swap it for an NTSC PSX game after it has checked for genuineness of the PSX game (and region??).

I have searched for hours on this site and using google and reading about region locking and have come up with nothing.

If all you have is swap magic then no, as SM doesn't boot PSX games only PS2 ones.

Okay. So say i use the PS2 slim sensor block swap trick that works only on PSX games. Will I be able to play NTSC games after loading with a PAL game?

You'll need to patch the games iso before burning with an NTSC to PAL patcher.

thats no possible. SM boots PS2 games only, and only your region PS2 games
