psxr help.
i got psxr on my pc and try to play castlevania chronicles. i can play the game fine, but then when i exit the game, the cpu is going at like 90%!! i try to go into my files and, it wont load anything cuz the cpu is being sucked up by psxr. dont think it has done that to any other game either. plus, when i insert the castlevania game, the cd drive comes up and the bar on top turns green, likes its having trouble reading the data on it or something. btw i got the graphics on fast mode not nice mode either.
dont know, dont wanna **** up my pc ya know. cant get the slide trick to work, i think you have to mod or break part of the cd door off to get the card to slide in. at least it looks like that on mine.

Try ePSXe and see if that works any better.
As for the bar turning green..I"m drawing a blank. Sorry, I hope someone else can be of help.

i have expse. i wanna use my controller though and you cant use one w/ expse!!
(as for the green bar) ok i have vista, and when you browse your files on your computer, there is a search bar on top cuz it uses some vers of explorer. there are 2 arrows one goin back, and one goin forward, then the white bar w/ your file name/s. you can click down to search around w/ that bar. now when i put in castlevania chronicles, that bar turns green on the cd drive screen, while its loading the files off the cd. then i go to the emulator and click run cd. runs ok, game turns on. then-- i turn off pcsxr, which is goin at like 90% cpu power, i try to go lets say into another emulator to play. when i click on my user name, there are noo files there. it stops, and the search bar starts to go green, as if its looking for noahs ark or something. yes i could use task manager and turn off the pcsxr after i already turned it off lol. i just hope that it isnt frying my pc or anything too. only played it 2 times. it even did that when i burned the cd also if that helps.
memorex cdr (yeah i know they suck)
vista.
2gb ram
2.16 gh
plenty of memory.

I didn't say expse (cheap ripoff that doesn't work for sh*t) I said ePSXe http://www.epsxe.com/ which is a high quality PSX emulator.
The only thing I know about Vista is that it didn't work for my needs so I downgraded to XP.

sorry i spelled it wrong as well. i have epsxe. got it off a torrent, and you cant use a controller w/ it unless its an old one (dont remember which).
but anywayz, do you know why the emulator is running so high when i play that game? when i burned it using alcohol 120% it did the same thing, so i had to reset. only that one cd though kinda weird. in fact as soon as i put the cd in, the computer starts running high! on the other games, my media player tries to open and they all work fine, i just tested them. this one, when i put it in it just shows the drive w/ the files in it. i do know that this game is actually a re-release of one on an old japanese computer. too bad, such a cool game too.
hey i have a strange question as well, maybe you could answer it. are my specs good enough for ps2 emulation? i was too afraid to try it.

Try making an iso of the game, play it from that and see if that makes any difference.
Maybe there is something wrong with the CD or the drive and is causing some type of overheating?
This isn't really my area of expertise so I'm just stabbing in the dark.
I never got into ps2 emulation much, so other than the basics I can't really tell you much.
If your controller doesn't work with ePSXe then try something like Pinnacle Game Profiler.
It allows you to use any controller on any game, I've even used it on games that don't have controller support.
