How To Split/Install .pkg Files Over 4GB & Rejoin Them With MultiMAN
Since I'm asked this question as least twice a week in my threads, I thought I would make a tutorial.

How To Split .pkg Files Over 4GB & Rejoin Them With MultiMAN

You have two options.
If you have FTP setup:
1) Transfer the .pkg anywhere on PS3.
2) Use multiMAN's File Manager and click on the .pkg after it is transferred. (multiMAN will ask to quit to XMB, choose YES as this mounts the .pkg to be installed)
3) Install through Install Package Files as normal.
If you do not have FTP setup:
1) Download PS3Splitter (check MAC's app thread in Applications section)
2) Use PS3Splitter to split the .pkg. (this will split it into 1GB parts)
3) Create a folder and put the split files into that folder. (you can name the folder whatever you want)
4) Now use multiMAN's File Manager and copy the folder (not individual files) anywhere on the PS3. (you'll notice that multiMAN will now auto rejoin the split files back to the original .pkg)
5) Same thing as above, click on .pkg when its done then install.
Don't forget to delete the .pkg from the PS3 when the game is done installing to clear out the space.

multiMAN will join them automatically you just have to copy it to anywhere in PS3, after splitting, left rest for MM

Hello first to everyone!
I am new here and need really our help.
I want to play the game Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 but it dont work.
I try many things to start it, first i get some error messages in xmb now i had a black screen if I start it.
I hope really that someone can help me or better someone who had the same problem and bring the game to run.

How do you do this??? I managed to find the folder with the splitted files and select "copy", but where should I paste it? and how do I paste? Can't see the option?

Copy it anywhere you want on dev_hdd0, doesn't matter really.
multiMAN copy/paste or move is press circle on the file to bring up the menu then select what you want to do. Copy or Move.

DUDE its didnt work i split it to 8 files then i make a folder at the devhd00 call PKGs i transferd them all there i went to multiman and i found the 8 files not 1 file :Snamed like that "INSTALL.PKG.66600"u know ...
annd i tried to install the full 7GB file from multiman to i cant enter to it and install it eaither why ?!

DUDE you put all your 666 files into 1 folder, and transfer that folder to HDD0. You then get 1 big pkg afterwards. Select the big pkg in file manager, X. It can't be easier.

Wow! Thx alot...this was one of my concerns as to how am i gna transfer a huge game from my pc to ps3...now that ive read this im gna bookmark this page so i can return to it to refresh my memory lol..thx BLACKOTOO!!!
