got it to install, had to extract the pkg file and copy the directory to ps3 hdd in game folder. then install fix. working now.

hi,i had a problem with the .pkg file not showing up in the XMB dashboard in order to install the game , i had to use the multiman file manager in the ps3 and manually move the folder that i had copied to the root of the ps3, to the GAMEZ folder. Now if i exit to the XMB and scroll to "install package files" the file will be there to be installed.Hope this helps someone that had the same problem as me

hi blaktoo, i split the sainthrow3 pkg file with 1.00 version, but it will not auto detect in my multiman ver 4.2 in ps3. i follow as per your instructions but it will not auto join and not detected in PS3 ( i copied the all files in ps3 hard disk folder )

You have two options.

If you have FTP setup:

1) Transfer the .pkg anywhere on PS3.
2) Use multiMAN's File Manager and click on the .pkg after it is transferred. (multiMAN will ask to quit to XMB, choose YES as this mounts the .pkg to be installed)
3) Install through Install Package Files as normal.

If you do not have FTP setup:

1) Download PS3Splitter (check MAC's app thread in Applications section)
2) Use PS3Splitter to split the .pkg. (this will split it into 1GB parts)
3) Create a folder and put the split files into that folder. (you can name the folder whatever you want)
4) Now use multiMAN's File Manager and copy the folder (not individual files) anywhere on the PS3. (you'll notice that multiMAN will now auto rejoin the split files back to the original .pkg)
5) Same thing as above, click on .pkg when its done then install.

Don't forget to delete the .pkg from the PS3 when the game is done installing to clear out the space.

THANK YOU!!!!!! Rad...it worked for me. moved the folder with my split files to my root of the HDD0 and I thought I was gonna see the files. Well...it merged to the 1 pkg and now im installing it!! Hopefully this will let me install Assassins Creed PSN game finally. everytime i tried to transfer via ftp...I would get an error @ 14%...LOL. redownloaded the game 5 times. all different ways....fingers crossed this time!
