Driver: San Francisco PSN release doesn't install to external. Can anyone else confirm this?

i tried to install driver san fran twice to external and just get a black screen then when i reboot ps3 it doesnt show it was installed

i noticed that when installing directly to external HDD, depending on how large the game is, it might take longer as opposed to installing it to the internal hdd. That's why now i install directly to internal & then use multiman to do "copy" from the internal to external "GAMEI" folder. It may seem like a hassel but believe me, saves a whole lot of time. Then when i play it from my external hdd for at least 1/2 hr of the game, i consider it to be at working stage. That's when i remove it from my internal.

hahahi can u tell me what directory does the psn games get installed to in your internal ps3 hard drive ?? might try it your way.. your right it takes forever.. specially when u try it and it dun work, devo`ed indeed =[

the games install to dev_hdd0/game/*

the * is the gameid for the psn title so for example Explodemon directory would read "dev_hdd0/game/NPEB00306" What you want to do is use a file manager (i use multiman) and choose "Copy" not "Move" for the "NPEB00306" and "copy" it to the dev_usb***/GAMEID/. I don't know what port you connect your external HDD but in any case the reason i say choose "Copy" is b/c the "Move" option does the job but it nearly equates to the length of time you would be waiting when installing it to the external hdd. Deleting the game folder manually off your internal take at most 2 mins tops depending how large the game is. Also, never delete games off your external HDD using Multiman; preferably delete them when you connect it to your computer. You will save your life. =D
