    I tried several times keeps telling me to reformat...before i go into service mode the console resets ie. screen resolution and sound... could that be the prob... thanks

    Still no luck for me trying to use my YLOD 640GB Phat ps3 to my new 320GB slim. I was really hoping this would work to. That's my luck though. If it weren't for terrible, horrible, putrid,Disgusting, repulsive luck, I would have none at all.

    I own a ps3 fat 3,55 kmeawYLOD that is with a hdd 500gb and i'm willing to buy a slim to play online. can i use this to use both firmwares(exchanging the hdd)? cause then i don't have to lose my game collection! and thanks already for the post man. didn't know if we could do that.

    no. the firmware is on the console.
    you would need a flasher to do this.

    This does NOT work fully!!!!

    I just tried to swap my 120GB 3.73 OFW HDD into my rebug 3.55.4 console,and as soon as I pulled the HDD out it canceled the search for updates and "failed". Tried it 5x's just to make sure I wasnt doing something wrong or too slow....everytime it failed.

    BOTH consoles are slims. One is 3.73 OFW,the other is on reBUG 3.55.u4. Trying to get my legit HDD with all of my DLC into my JB console so I can pull my act.dat & other files need/created by ReACTPsn.
