I'm on 3.55geohot, someone did it for me, but I found out it's GT cuz if I update multiman I've to use GT pkg file, I want to switch to kmeaw cuz i see lots of people use it, what's the difference between geo and kmeaw? I can play games fine on geo, what will be different if I switch to kmeaw? How to switch to kmeaw? Install official 3.55 from system update and kmeaw from recovery like in tut?

No problem mate, thats why i made this tutorial for.... so people could do it without worrying & also not go from one guide to another to another! Its got loads packed all in one tutorial

& if you are coming from another CFW, download Sonys 3.55FW first then the Kmeaw 3.55CFW, its all in the guide on page 1 anyway!

I have now updated the programs so everything is now up to date once again!

Well there is always a chance.... but no one has been proven to have been banned on the PS3 since the release of the very first custom firmware to the present, the only bans that have been given out are because people have been using cheats or modding there games so they can cheat while being in an online game ( which i do not agree on at all! or do not do myself! ) If you wanna cheat on a game do it on a non online game! I didnt hack my PS3 straight away but after a while i thought why not & i haven't had any trouble with bans or anything else? This site is a good place for help & hints if you find the right posts or people to ask so youve come to the right place. So anyway the answer to your question is probably 99.9 % no you will not get banned ( well not if you dont cheat online you will be safe for now, maybe in the future Sony may wanna ban people so we cant play online.... but saying that there is a program or app out to unban your PS3 console so if it ever happened you would be able to use that to unban youself )

Ive just answered this in the private message you sent me but so everyone else can see the answer i left to theses 3 questions here they are -

1. well no it dont void your warranty but because it can be uninstalled if you like, & you dont have to open the PS3 to install it ether so it doesnt remove the warrenty sticker on the side which voids the warrenty, but sony wont want you putting stuff like this on here but its upto you at the end of the day & if you dont tell them they wont know

2. yes you can install this on 3.50 & anything on 3.55 fw or under! just follow the guide, but make sure you first install official 3.55 firmware, then install the custom 3.55 firmware after that ok! ( if you dont want to use the custom firmware anymore just install the offical firmware 3.55 over the top again! but please note at the moment once you update to 3.56 official firmware or above you will not be able to install a custom firmware on your PS3 again! or untill someone finds a hack to break through that! )

3. At the moment i would say no not straight away but there are ways to access PSN again in the past & no doubt there probably will be again in the very near future! I was using mine to play online & access PSN to update my acheivements online before PSN went down!
