Thread: Ps3jig tutorial step by step!!! Get into service mod!!! using the psp!!!

first unplug the power cord to the back of your ps3 slim

and then ready your psp and run the ps3jig homebrew

then plug it in your ps3 slim usb port close to the blueray drive

then hold the power button of the slim ps3

quickly put the power cord on the ps3 and press the eject button

it should power on and power off without a beep on the ps3

insert the usb with lvl2 and ps3updat.pup on the usb close to blueray drive

then the ps3 will read the usb and it will flash the contents of the usb

If I have 2 port USB what should i do? 1 i already insert psp, and when can i insert the usb ??

@maynard14 : please help me, I'm doing the same as you, For the first time when the psp show detached. Then my PS3 brick silently turn off. When I turn on it again it brick again. Please help me

if you done it correctly the ps3 will turn on and off again WITHOUT a sound or beep,...

Put the USB Pen with the 2 files inside in the right usb port (lv2diag.self file 1 http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/Downg...er#PUP_to_use/ and ROGERO cfw v3.4 on the usb)

Power on the PS3. If all went well you shall see the ps3 reading stuff in the usb pen, and the hard drive of ps3 working, wait for the console to power off.
Remove the USB PEN (you will have an UPDATER_LOG.TXT in the Pen with the details)
Power on the PS3
At this point you can check if the console boot up and its inside factory mode (red square box in the bottom left of the screen)
Power off the PS3


On the computer
All you need now is to get out of Factory Mode, so put lv2diag.self file 2 in a FAT32 blank USB Pen


On the PS3
Put the USB Pen in the right port with the file already on it
Power on (the console will power off automatically)
Power again and should be ok

it only work on 1000 and certain 2000 model.. Ur psp should have a cfw 5.50... I unbricked my ps3 through ps3 jig... If ur psp fw is either above or below 5.50 then it wont work..

i have psp 3004 and ps3jigv1.00 psp do its stuff but ps3 shows blackscreen shutsdown beeping like police siren please help the psp is of my friends psp its on 6.39 pro b10 i wanna unbrick my ps3 or dad will kill me
