Thread: PKG Builder

I made you all an(other) PKG Builder, this one does almost everything. I will warn you many games don't work with the PKG trick!

Please leave some comments about how to make this program even beter!

STEPS
1) make the file structure like:

--TROPDIR
--USRDIR (MUST CONTAIN EBOOT.BIN!! NO SUBDIRECTORIES)
ICON0.PNG
PARAM.SFO (REQUIRED)
PIC0.PNG
...


2) Then you need to know the GAME ID and the game version, this can be aquired from the PARAM.SFO (open it with notepad and look at the end)


3) Manual is for manual editting the EBOOT.ELF (located in the USRDIR folder) and PARAM.SFO (located in the GAMe folder)


4) 3.55 CFW is for finalizing the package to make it work with geohot's firmware


COMMON ERROR
Failed to backup EBOOT.BIN/PARAM.SFO - The program will not override the backups made in the BACKUP folder, move the old files first.

Unable to modify EBOOT.ELF - Possible that you are using the ELF file or the EBOOT.BIN was not an original one but an already build one.

Unable to build pkg file - The PARAM.SFO is from another game.

I'm getting Fatal ERROR unable to build pkg... trying to do smackdown 2011 and the param.sfo and eboot is the original, but the param.sfo file is one of those rare ones that dont open in sfoeditor. but it opens in a hex editor just fine, I dont know what the problem is. anyone?

Hello, am new to this as well, and i managed to instal geohots cfw and some packages.

ok i got yakuza 3 and god of war 3
i follow the instructions, but on step 4, i get "FATAL ERROR - Unadle to edit FSO File"
and thats for both games, i am running win 7 64,besides that, what am i doing wrong?

it was my fault, but now it does duild the package and i it installed like a charm , but when i try to load the game on my internal hdd with cfw 3.55 by geohot, it stays on the first loading screen...any advice?
Game is yakuza 3 by the way :D
