Thread: Does your PS3 needed to be jailbroken in order to mod gamesaves?

I have a PS3, on 4.00, and I wanted to get cfw on it because it seemed easy, but I ended up realizing I updated to 4.00 the day before I found out about the cfw :(. I would like to at LEAST be able to mod gamesaves/games, and I was wondering if you need to have your PS3 jailbroken in order to do so. So, does my PS3 need to be jailbroken in order to do this?

I 'm not so sure...but i'd say you won't need to jailbreak for that..

no. just copy the files to your pc with a USB stick and mod them there. (it only works on some games though)

you find a program to mod the game in question. (like a hex editor)
and then copy the file back
