Thread: need help in upgrading multiman

so i just bought a ps3 that is already in cfw kmeaw with a multiman version 1.16.12
my question is
i want to upgrade my multiman but i dont know the steps on how to do it
do i need to uninstall the previous multiman before i install the new one?

no man, you can install it overwriting...no problem!

for multiman, sometimes u have to install a new base then the update. the last two digits will tell u the update number if they're both 0s then it's a base. if you are updating to 1.17, 1.18, etc, u'd need to install the applicable base. if u were installing 1.17.3 from 1.17.2, u'd only need to install the update which can be done manually via the package installer or via an internet connection.

i did not get the previous post since i have no idea what a base is
but i plan on using 2.09.02 multiman on my ps3
is it possible if i have a 1.16.12 multiman?

also is there any notes/warnings i should know of if i plan on updating my multiman?
will it accidentally upgrade my firmware etc?

no, it wont upgrade your firmware.
