Thread: Need help with Star Ocean: The last hope international MRTC00001 game id

I need some help guys. Any help would be appreciated.

Here's the problem: I downloaded the game (ID is MRTC00001) and FTP-ed over to my ps3 and when I boot the game (With disc) it tries to install game data but I'm always STUCK at 8%!!! No matter what I do, it always go back to that problem! If I tried to start the game without deleting the game data, it will just say 'corrupted game data, quit and delete the game data' so when I deleted the game data and tried again, it will just go back to that installing game data problem and I have no idea what to do anymore -_- .. I re-ftp the game (22gb) and I'm still having the same problem.. I'm running kmeaw 3.55 cfw with 4.00 multiman and have googled every possible solution there is. Can anyone help me on some advices to bypass the problem?

well..
first: make sure you hav a disc in the tray...
second: this game has got files higher than 4GB+ (are they split?)
third: try using external dev, ftp can fail and corrupt files sometimes (rare)

1 - Yes, there's a disc inside the ps3. I always use it to boot my games. Does diff discs affect the games?

2 - No, I tried to split them using comgenie awesome filemanager but it says that it doesn't have any >4GB files so it doesn't have to be split

3 - well I do have a external harddisk but its western digital and its usb 3.0 . So There's a problem getting that disk to work with ps3. I bought the wrong one so I usually ftp my games over.

1. No, as long as it's original Bluray disc...
2. Man, I'm almost sure ther is a file higher than 4GB on this game....try to find it manually and split with ''split4g''
if you cannot find, then we can have a bad rip (the game is supposed to be 22 GB..k?)
3. Your ext dev may work fine (try plugging it on the other slot)

I'm having the same problem! Stuck at 8% when installing game data!
It worked fine before so I have no idea why this happens..

I deleted my copy from my ps3 and got the one from my brother. It works fine now but I have another problem now. I installed the cheat pkg for star ocean but I didn't see that it was for the US version until I went back to the thread to read it again. Now my game data is corrupted yet again and when I go to game data utility, the star ocean game data isn't there. What should I do to get find it then get rid of it? Damn pkg.
