    Default Increase FTP transfer speeds

    i've been using ftp for quite some games and movies now. The max speed i get is only 2.5-3MB/s. Is this normal or can i accelerate with a few tweeks. Thanks for any suggestions!

    btw i'm using wireless and transferring via multiman through filezilla

    only 2.5-3MB/s ?! It's very good speed !
    However, if you want more you could try using cable (you won't lose signal strength due to distance, as it happens on wireless)
    and filezilla is the best for now....don't change it

    using openPS3FTP and filezilla.
    a wired connection also makes it a lot faster. (especially direct connections) and using gigabit ethernet if you have it.

    just use wired lan and you will get 10-11mbps speed transfer. no needs for tweeks. im using filezila for my pc and multiman for my ps3 and it works in that speed.

    Ellow,
    Wow wireless, i salute your patience. Cant image transfering a 40GB game thrue that...

    Even 10-11MB/s is EXTREMLY low for a wired cable (if your using a Gbit card)...

    Yea, we all know speed varies on the game and game files you copy (so ignore those games that have 10000+ small files).

    But on a wired connection with a Gbit card you should be getting 25-30MB/s for games with big files...
    Thats my usual speed using WinSCP and BlackBox FTP (no special setting).

    Just for info, check if you have a Gbit card. If you dont, you should invest in one...
