Thread: Banned for game sharing?

Ok, so my buddy had a beta code for resistance 3 and after he downloaded and installed I signed on his name on my ps3 and downloaded it again...all went smoothly until i installed it and now i cant sign in at all, "you cannot use psn with this account" EF SONY i hate them, OH MY GOD I DOWNLOADED A FREE BETA OFF A FRIENDS ACCOUNT, FRICKEN BAN ME i hate sony they need to all die

highly unlikely because of the fact i grab crap all the time from my friends account like all the MW2 COD 4 and Black ops maps are from my clan member and alot of other things to it had to be something else no way because of that.

So was this a legit code that your friend got from buying Socom 4 or a bogus one generated from one of those code generators?

If you feel you've been banned in error over doing something legit then call Sony to find out why.

werid it is very rare for this to happen

i never heard it happening hell my friend bought borderlands and all of the DLC plus Final Fantasy Tactics all of for $75 and im still playing it today.. honestly something must've gone wrong because you should've not been banned since you can have up to 5 systems per account..

Yeah that's what I figured, and yes his code was legit from Socom 4...I tried calling and was on hold for over an hour, I might have to resort to playing 360 :(

Finally got in touch with PSN customer service, turns out I got banned for swearing on Killzone 3.....uh really? This is such a free country..

lol then its just a temp ban, prolly a 30 day ban or so

I'm sorry. But $ony is really doing this? How bad/often do you rage? I wonder if the pc servers get moderated because I've heard quite a lot of swearing in almost every online game lol...it's just part of the lovely fun!
