    Default no applicable update data was found

    I was trying to update my ps3 slim fw 3.50 to 3.55 kmeaw using the file downloaded from the tutorial here. but this message always pops-up even on the recovery mode.. can you help me guys? anyone encountered this before? :(

    you need to set up proper folder structure.

    If your using a usb flashdrive, make sure it's FAT32 format and the update data is inside this folder, \\PS3\UPDATE\
    Also make sure the filename of the update is PS3UPDAT.PUP
    If still cannot be detected, download the update data again. It might be corrupted.

    You need OFW 3.55 first then CFW

    The ps3 did this to me, it did not like my generic usb drive, so i had to use my external hdd and it worked like a charm.
