Thread: Getting a PS3 in India, is it region free?

Hi,

I live in the US and I am on a trip now to India. I wanted to get a PS3, but the problem is, is that can I play American PS3 games when I go back to the US. I don't know if Indian PS3s are region free or not. Are they? There BD region code is C.

All PS3s are suppose to be region free so US games will work, but I don't think it will play movies from the US because movies aren't region free on the PS3

you can play ps3 doesn't matter from where you buy it
there not BD region because all PS3 games are Region Free

an application was released recently that lets you change your drive's blue ray region.

Pretty sure they are all region free. Anyways you can always buy one when you come back to the USA right?

blue ray films are split up into three regions. usa europe and asia
that's the only thing you need to change. and as I said before you can use a homebrew app to do that.
