my ps3 wont start i heard ABOUT THIS problem before first green light then yellow then it blinks red but nothing on the screen is there any way to fix it

pls help if there is a away to fix it thx

You got the famous YLOD.

I got that too yesterday, today i fix with a heat gun.

Simple process now PS3 is alive again but not sure for how long...

Google or youtube some: YLOD repair

It looks like you have YLOD for sure plus a wounded duck! Seriously, your PS3 may have pooped out. How old is it or what model?

if you can't fix it I recommend going to gamestop and buying a used one with the same model and get the protection. then put the broken console in the box and return it.

Oh, clever. But if they're doing their job, they're supposed to record the Serial Number for the console and when you ship back one with a different number, they will refuse to fix it. Unless you get even more clever and peel off the SN number stickers and swap them.
At their refurbish centers, do they just do the reflowing themselves then, or is there some other more sophisticated way of fixing them.

other than cleaning it out that's just about it.
also most gamestop employees (and electronics sellers in general) don't know about most of these things

Try to find someone else that do a reball work on PS3.

They take off the GPU from the board and solder again with a better solder.

After that buy a better fan cooler, like whisper 19 and apply at PS3.

Your PS3 will never get YLOD again.
