Thread: Multiman 2.00.01 need help changing from standard mode to hermes mode.

So i just upgraded my multiman 2.00.01, i was trying to play Red Dead Redemption external with splitted files and i read that to play split files i need to switch to hermes, so i did that and exited multiman and restarted the ps3. But then i came back and it was on standard mode as it was before..
What do i need to do? You think is anything missing when i was upgrading i installed 2.00.00.pkg, 2.00.01.pkg and bdemu.pkg.
Also when i played L.A Noire with splitted files i didn't changed nothing in the mode to hermes, but the game played and i had the problem of the sound and when i have the newspaper the game just freezes but the music continues going, is there any way to play L.A Noire without all this problems that everyone is having? I can't play internal because my ps3 is 40GB version.

Did you install BDEMU2? Or was that just a mistake what you typed?

I didn't mispelled it, the file i downloaded was just named that, "bdemu-355.pkg" but it was saying that it was bdemu2 and i read a coment of the guy saying he renamed it to bdemu2.pkg and it worked for him (it was a post here on ps3iso). I did the same and yea Red Dead Redemption is working and i can change it to hermes or standard mode!
Btw what about L.A Noire do you know anyway that gets it in external working fine?

I just downloaded L.A Noire and its the same old problems, damn.
Btw when i launch it with hermes mode, it says:
"pre-processing required for this title. Do you want to install required data to internal HDD?"
and its like 15 gb and i don't have that space on my ps3. In hermes mode everygame i play is gonna ask me this?

if you are trying to play split file games from the external, yes every time you will have to do the pre-processing to store the BIG filed Cached on the PS3 internal, but after its done the first time it will not ask you again

Yea, its the BDEMU2 from mac's thread, and its working. Just one more question, i just finished caching L.A Noire to internal, now can i erase it to save that 14gb space in my ps3 or to play it i need to have that always stored in my internal? Thanks for the help + rep for you.

Edit: ok no need to answer i just found it out myself, you need to have that 14 gb on your internal. damn
