Default Playing PSX backups on PS3 ?

    Hi,
I have quite a large library of PS1 and PS2 games that I used to own until recently I sold almost all of them out. So I ripped them and put them in the external HDD and I wanted to play it on PS3. I did some googling I know that playing PS2 is not possible and I know that I can play PS1 games on PS3 but I happen to sold them already (stupid me:(( ).
I wanna know is there any way to play them on PS3 ? or my hdd will just sit there to rust.

This is our only hope at the moment, If you visit their site they have updated to say they are trying to get it on 3.55.

I was also looking into that dongle too. But too bad it don't ship to my country and buying online shipping cost more than the device itself (weird)!
Gotta wait until someone reverse engineer it so it can be made into a CFW or an app to load the backups. I think there should have an emulator for it.

i been wondering about this ,but i never get an answer
yes you can play ps2 backups on a ps3 from a hdd if you have a swapmagic disc and OPL
and your ps3 is a ps2 backward compatible model,

but can you also play ps1 games with a swapmagic and OPL?
and if you can ,does it only work on ps2 back compatible ps3's?or all ps3's ,since all ps3 's have a psx emulator in them

or does the swapmaginc just not work on them?

OPL is only for PS2 backups........

For the price of the dongle you can BUY a PS1..........same weird resolution on any LCD/plasma/LED TV larger than 32".........
