Issue with running SBK 2011 from hard drive - Fixed :)
Hey guys, just downloaded sbk 2011, currently running kmeaw 3.55, when I tried to run the game from hard drive it says game requires 3.56 firmware.
ok so the error code is 80010017, re copied game to hard drive, when I start it with Multiman it says this game requires firmware 3.56 do you want to edit the SFO, if I select yes the game comes up with this error when I try to play, if I select no then when I try to play it asks if I want to update to 3.56 which I am guessing is a no no cause then I can't play anything
now by looking at some posts on this forum I am getting the feeling multiman 2 (which i'm running) should automaticaly fix games to run on 3.55.
Any ideas

I would use multiman because it will automatically fix that problem for you.
-
any firmware spoofers do not help load games requiring higher firmwares.

I am using multiman, sorry if this is a bit vague but I am at work at the moment not in front of it but when I tried to play it the first time it said do you want to change some file to which I said yes, then when I went to reload it it came up with an error cant play, when I get home I will give the exact error code

so my question here is, whats the point of a firmware spoofer?
-
It was used by Rebug (most popularly) to spoof the fw and being able to use internet connection as it was 3.60, when it wasn't.
In case you want to play a 3.56 game, there are keys for that, therefore, modified eboots for your firmware.
