Thread: Questions for black screen and being online.

Okay, this is my first post because I prefer reading and gathering information before actually asking. I'm asking because i just can't seem to find enough information to answer my questions in mind.

Question 1: TV screen turns black after loading with gaia/multiman?
-Right, here's my problem. I'm using kmeaw 3.55 cfw.
I've downloaded a couple of games and all of them are working
fine.
Except for portal 2 (we all know why) and F.E.A.R 2
When i load F.E.A.R 2. The screen just turns black and ps3 wont
respond. I've read a couple of post's but didn't really gave much
info. My conclusion, is it because I updated to my PS3 from
3.40>3.55 kmeaw and didn't update to the official 3.55 first?
If so, I answered my own question. But, would prefer some
feedback here.

Question 2: We can connect to PSN online without being bricked as long as
we don't update our PS3 with the official firmwares?

Question 3: If Question 2 is a Yes. Then, can we play the the games we
downloaded online?

Question 4: Well, if Question 3 is a No. How bout when we have original
games like Black Ops. Can we play it online while using
kmeaw 3.55 cfw?

Guess that's all of my questions that I have.

fear 2 has always been a black screen game, the only way to play is using multimans option to boot black screen games, play from external and start the game with Select + X

to all your online questions there is no way at the moment to go online with cfw

Btw, is MultiMAN v1.17 select + x working? There're some post saying that it doesn't. If so, should I download the previous versions? oO

i can't really test at the moment, im at work but give it a try on 1.17 if nothing happens go back to a older version
