Thread: Game Burning to BD-R Progress!!

Been busy trying to achieve the holy grail of booting games from BD-R for a while now and have made some head-way today. I burned Crysis 2 and it showed up in Multiman list as "Gamedisc". It loaded back to xmb and displayed normally but 8001200** error on boot. I was able to copy to internal and external HDD and play with no problems which is a start. I'm sure it can be done eventually. Any help appreciated.

I'm sorry brother, you really didn't find out anything new, you can also do this with a blank DVD if the game fits one it but Multiman won't load the game

A BD-ROM Mark is a small amount of cryptographic data that is stored separately from normal Blu-ray Disc data. Bit-by-bit copies that do not replicate the BD-ROM Mark have no known decoding method. A specially licensed piece of hardware is required to insert the ROM-mark into the media during replication...got this from wikipedia but this is the reason bd's can't be duplicated as of yet. My whole thought process is, the laser that is used to etch this mark is probably a different color than blue so it produces a totally different wavelength. Thereby, making it virtually impossible to copy unless C4EVA can somehow come up with a way to increase or decrease the lasers intensity to match that of this so called "special device".

is it possible to transfer file from a ps3game folder thats in the pc to a ps3 bdgame thats in ur ps3 bddrive?
Example: i have a original bdgame of star wars the force unleashed and want to put the dlc from the ultimate sith edition that i downloaded in my original bdgame.
Should i use fillezilla or something else?
