    Default Mafia 2 switching ps3 to standard definition

    When I start mafia 2 it switches my ps3 to standard definition and the game looks terrible.

    Every other game runs in hd 720 or 1080.

    I know it turns to sd as when I push the ps button the menu is enlarged and looks terrible.

    are you using the component cables?

    thats because if ur using hd/component, the games are set to use 1080P only. u have to enable 720P also by going into the input settings on the XMB. that game is probably not 1080P, only 720P but when it tries to use 720P it sees that u dont have that enabled and it goes to native resolution which is 480P.
