Thread: I beg you to read this.. LOL :)

I got a PS3, well, My dad bought a faulty one and fixed it but then it stopped reading discs. I suspect is the lens, (Which identifies what media type the disc is, yes?)

Anyways to the point, I have tried everything to fix the PS3 legit without spending unnecessary money, and have come to the conclusion, maybe I should look for a channel/app that allowed me to skip identifying what type of media the disc was and get on with it.

Anyone care to help? The game is Assassins Creed Brotherhood and I got a fat PS3 if that helps.

Edit: Firmware version is 3.56 and I hear I need 3.55, any way to downgrade?

also there is a tool you casn use witch bypasses the bluray drive but its also useless to you
