Thread: couple of them questions.

HEy everybody,

just got some questions that are unanswered at this point in time.

First, anyone have a suggestion as to what to use to get ps3 game updates. I Have Bayonetta BLUS and this is one game that needs an update.


SEcond, is there any way to play games with bin files bigger than 4gb on external. I understand you would have to split them and recompile on the ps3 internal but i have a 60gb so i need all that space for game installs.

Third, I am puzzled as how to install psn games to ps3. I retrieved lumines supernova and joe danger from demonoid and failed to install either. For lumines i copied the NPUB folder to hdd0 and when i tried to install the pkg, it said eboot.bin not found... WTF

Joe danger on the other hand always gets stuck at one part when extracting to hdd0, roughly 2000 files in...... (maybe because i didnt put the npub in the root????). I'm using open manager 2.1 and running hemes v4b btw.

Last, my first game to put on my external was naruto ultimate ninja storm 2. The first time i tried, it was successful with no errors. I deleted the folder off the external on my computer but one 0kb file would not delete so i used gaia manager and deleted it permanently.

When i tried to put naruto back on, one .xbin file or something like that would not transfer because it says the file has been "externally altered" I tried again and a whole bunch of LUA files wouldn't transfer either. This may be my biggest problem, does anyone know why this is happening?

1. Awesome update finder, just type in the BLUS ect number it will find it.
2. Yes, google safeimg, it splits the files and if the game can run off external it will, but you need Gaia or open manager, get Gaia its better.
3. You put it in VHS,TASK folder, not the hhd0, that is if those games work, you should have hermes v4b installed.
Last, sounds like you deleted something from the game and stuffed it, all I can say is maybe try deleting the game data and save, failing that format.

o ok ty very much, just wondering if you have to use ftp for psn games or can you just put it on external and copy, like what i do with my full ps3 games.

Turns out i needed to use comgenies file manager, guess havik79 forgot to mention.

STill, another problem arises.....

I successfully transfered both npub folders to hdd0/game, but when i try to run either game they don't work.

Lumines freezes at the first loading part, and my whole ps3 freezes...

Joe danger - I pick the 1st stage, then the ps3 says the game i corrupted and to install again and kicks me back to the xmb... WTF

Any help here?
