Thread: Games not loading properly

I just hacked my PS3 today using PSFreedom on my moto droid. After that I installed the backup manager v2 and backed up my copy of Little Big Planet as a test. The backup was successful, however when I go to load the game from the manager menu the game does not actually load. I tried both with the disk in and out (even though that shouldn't matter on v2).

Any suggestions?

It DOES load, it just doesn't start right away (don't worry, that's normal). When it goes back to your PS3 menu you have to go up and select the game and click "X" to start it.


btw - Backup Manager v2 is lame, you should use Open Manager v1.16 (you don't need a disc in your Blu-Ray drive)

I installed open manager and backed up the game again for a fresh start. I'm still experiencing the same issue. After hitting "x" on my copy in open manager the game does not load on the ps3 game menu even after waiting 10 minutes.

So it doesn't show up in your PS3 menu at all?

If you move up to "/app_home/PS3_GAME/" it should be there after 1-2 seconds.
app_home/PS3_GAME is under your PSN-store symbol and above "install package files" (if there is a USB-stick or hdd connected)

An error occurred during the start of the operation (80028F14). That's what happens when I open that folder.

This is what i have to do as well, it has something to with the version of the boot manager and which payload you're using, etc, let us know if this works for you as well since there have been a few occurrences of this problem very recently, and likely it will be resolved in an upcoming version of the programs.

I attempted this on both Cyanogen 6 and Bugless Beast. Same issue.
