Thread: Ps3 Backup Manager will only play discs.

Hello. I recently jailbroke my ps3 with an ipod touch 1g and installed backup manager. I tried loading Littlebigplanet off of an external hard drive, but when it boots me back to the xmb, Rock Band 2, the blu ray game currently in the ps3 shows up. When I play rock band 2, the screen is black, but the music plays.

I then tried putting a ps3 game in backup manager and installed it. The installation was successful, but again, Rock Band 2 shows up instead of the backup.

thanks, i got ur message.

something i just discovered.... perhaps accidentally is that the other day when i started a game in BM, once back at the XMB, that game would show up as a disk with the correct name. that last 2 days, when i was starting games with BM, the XMB would show the game in the blu-ray drive. well today i scrolled up the the "APPS_HOME/PS3_GAME" and after a second the game i wanted to play was there and now works, so perhaps this has been the case the whole time but i didn't realize how to get to the game i was trying to load.

sound like you have BM v2 not v1 (unofficial patch, still says v1 cause the guy hacked and patched) official v1.1 hasn't been released yet

i do, in fact i used that one specifically so i could try to start a game without seeing the disk that is in the blu-ray drive. if the change in functionality is where i have to scroll to to actually play a game, then that is a caveat i'm willing to live with until something newer or better comes along.

actually i think that's what started my mess was trying to upgrade BM's and ti-84 hack apps when i had V1 working perfectly and my hard drive full of games that all played until i messed with a good thing. oh well, hopefully everything is good now!

try Open Manager (OM) or one of the plenty clones they play them either way, some are buggy some aren't you'll just have to test them. Me myself I have BM v1, OM (gaia rc1), and Flex Manager all installed http://www.ps3iso.com/applications/3...-gaia-rc1.html
