Thread: Is it possible to play Yakuza 3 through the Backup Manager?

I have been able to successfully play 3D Dot Heroes, Demon's Souls, Little Big Planet, Resistance 2, Heavenly Sword, Mod Nation Racers, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 through the Backup Manager. When I try to play Yakuza 3, it begins a mandatory 5 gig install, and then fails at the 10% mark.

I have looked elsewhere in the forum, and I've seen other posts complaining of similar problems. My questions are:

Has ANYONE gotten Yakuza 3 to work through the Backup Manager?

Is it even possible?

If you've gotten it to work, what thread did you download it from?

(Killzone 2 doesn't load, either. Is this a known issue? Can Killzone 2 be played through the Backup Manager?)

Yakuza 3 works fine off my external, the install if i remember correctly only look a minute or two.

But, which thread did you download it from? If there's a working version and a failing version, I wanna get the working version.

There are more non working games all over the net than working ones mate so the chances are you have just downloaded a duff one.

If anyone has yakuza 3 and doesn't mind spending 2 seconds (literally) to rip the toc it would help me partially translating the japanese version.

Attached is a simple batch script (save it as anything.bat and drag your yakuza 3 folder on it, a notepad file will open, save it and send that over to me.) the batch commands are easily googled if you for some reason don't trust that code.

i was gonna do this for you cause i'd love to play the jap version but the bat comes up and says file not found :(
