    Default PS3 60GB and 80GB HDD Help

    okay so i have a 60GB HDD and a launch console at the moment...now my friend has a 80GB HDD but its not a launch console....so like my hdd goes in sideways and his does not go in sideways it just goes straight in...now i have 2 questions...
    1. Can i swap hdd with him as long as i take the metal off around the hdd and put it in like the sideways case so it will fit it my ps3?
    2. How can i take my gamesaves off my hdd now? can i hook it up to the computer via sata? can i use a usb or another external hdd?

    you can copy them over to a usb or external hdd, and yes along as you swap hdd caddies (the metal thing the hdd sits in) it will go in your ps3
