Angry Help with HDD on DEX Wont format. Error 8002F271

Okay so I downgraded my Dex from 4.20, it was working fine, but I wanted to add my 1.3TB 3.5" with the ESATA Station that comes with E3 Flasher. Mind you this hdd was working on 3.55 then 4.20 and back through 3.55.

But I wanted Linux. So, I set flash for otheros, went into recovery mode to do system reset. It locked at 100% formating.

After an hour or so I used my 250gb 2.5" to get the PS3 to boot again. And after trying again with otheros it locked up again.

Now any hard drive I put in this sucker gets eiter

    1. Cannot Access Hard Disk
    2. Error 8002F271 <----This happens as soon as formatting screen comes up.

I have tried formatting the drive in my PC to no avail.

Does anyone know a way to fix this issue? I cant remember which 3.55 otheros pkg I used so its kind of hit and miss with using the exact same firmware with the update process to get it to format.

Now I read somewhere that a PS3UPDAT.PUP can be made that will ignore all errors and install and format, but I cannot find any info on it either. And since this is a Dex machine, I think it is different, though I may be wrong.

I am trying to zero out my drive atm but any concrete evidence to fix this issue I would really appreciate.

Bumping this because i still need help.

Tried multiple hard drives, tried formatting with no partition and fat, fat32, ntfs, used easeus for all that. Tried a ton of stuff from google, nothing, either from recovery or just plain boot, 0-3% and that Fu%ing error pops up.

    250gb 2.5
    1.0tb 3.5
    80gb 2.5 & 3.5
    1.3tb 3.5
    500gb 2.5

Both internal and from sata e3 station, if 2.5 i tried both.

yes i can really use the help too, i thought no one else was in the same mess i am in. i have failed installing otheros on 3.55 and now my ps3 wont boot I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING AND I MEAN EVERYTHING!

"i really need help as well... i installed linux wrong wile on 3:55 and now the ps3 cant boot! so i went to the recovery menu and tried to reinstall the ps3 from a usb. i tried to update with 355 cfw and 355 ofw, i even tried to use 430 update but all fail. when i try to install or reformat the hard drive it gets an error at about 18% after all that all it does is turn on to a a blue screen and if you click x you can slightly see the language select an then it reboots. can i pay someone to unbrick this ps3? i REALLY dont want to mess with soldering a e3 flasher. money is not much of an option."

here's a full analysis on everything i did to try to fix this so far

boot 1:(no changes made) = black screen

boot 2: recovery mode, selected option 5. restore PS3 system = "ERROR" The hard drive cannot be accessed.

boot 3: recovery mode, selected option 3. restore file sysem = "ERROR" rebooted and resumed blank screen

**boot 4**: recovery mode, (inserted flash drive with 3.55 OFW) selected option 6. System update = "ERROR" an error occured during the format opperation (8002F271)

boot 5: recovery mode, (flash drive with Rogero 4.30 CFW) selected option 6. system update = "ERR0R" Same as boot 4

boot 6 recovery mode, (switched HDD out with spare 20GB SATA) + (flash drive with Rogero 4.30 CFW) selected option 6. system update = "ERROR" same as boot 4

boot 7 Recovery mode, (moved updates form USB to memory stick) selected option 6. system update = "ERROR" same as boot 4
