    Default How to UNjailbreak a PS3 on 3.41 ???

    Hi everyone,

    So I'm a PS3break V1.2 (dongle) user, my ps3 is still on firmware 3.41

    But now i'm kinda sick of it, since firmware updates are comming fast and I don't have the patience for jailbreak updates.
    I want to upgrade it to the latest official firmware.

    BUT I GOT SOME QUESTIONS/DOUBTS:

    - I have alot of homebrew pkg on them:
    *backup channel
    *pkg's to run specific games that won't run trough backup channel
    *a complete modified game of demon souls with cheats on.
    -also completely backed up games
    + + + probably alot of stuff I can't even remember where I put it on the internal drive...

    So my question now is: How am I able to safely upgrade my 3.41 with all that crap on it to the latest official firmware???
    WITHOUT BRICKING IT???

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Just delete everything, your going official firmware so it's not like you can play any of them anymore.
    DON'T BELIEVE ANY OF THE 3.6+ CFW BULL$HIT THAT YOU SEE ON YOUTUBE OR READ ON BLOGSPOT

    Delete everything(backups) then install 3.41ofw and update to the latest fw.

    Ok I don't want to sound stupid or anything, but I don't want to mess this up.

    How would I do this? Do I have to take the hardrive out and format it on my pc or can I do it trough my ps3?

    go to the settings menu in xmb and search for backup/ format utilility (or something like that)

    you can do this by doing a system restore from ps3 menu.

    Is there a way to backup all my saves and trophies???

    How about the profile I log in with. How do I backup that?

    Or will I have to make a complete new user?

    i found a tutorial about the trophies,though seems a bit long and rudimentary but if you read through the post and the replies it should work,couldn't find one for the sava data,i am sure some other user will know how to help you on that.
