Thread: Need for Speed Hot Pursuit EUR (BLES00949) Black Screen?

Hey Guys,

I downloaded a Need for Speed Hot Pursuit EUR (BLES00949) release from a torrent and I'm not sure whether I'm supposed to replace the EBOOT.BIN file... But I'm getting a black screen when I run it through EXTERNAL using multiMAN. I even did the SELECT + X thing and it didn't work. I'm on 3.55 kmeaw.

So could anyone get me a working link for the EBOOT.BIN file because i searched quite a lot and came up only with files for the US release.
Or am I doing something wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

And the readme says that i HAVE to transfer the game to my INTERNAL HDD. Isn't there any other way that I can play this game through EXTERNAL?
This is what it says exactly :

Put "UP0001-BLES00949_00-0000111122223333.pkg" on a USB thumb drive 
and install on ps3

then copy files and folders inside USRDIR (except EBOOT.BIN) to dev_hdd0/game/BLES00949/USRDIR/

then copy LICDIR folder to dev_hdd0/game/BLES00949/

then copy folder inside TROPDIR to dev_hdd0/game/BLES00949/TROPDIR

this game has no patch for 3.55, I think you downloaded game which is pre patched on 3.41, you just need to apply its original eboot for 3.55, run without any patch

Damn!! I wasted so long trying to find a file which doesn't exist... Just GREAT! But anyway thanks for the heads up romaan, I'll try it out and see if it works.

I found a link for the US version of this game... Will that work?

it seems that the file names are shortened while extracting using winrar/mounting on virtual drives

OK so what you're saying is that i should extract the ".iso" file using 7zip and everything will be OK? I'm on 3.55 kmeaw so i don't need to patch the eboot or anything, right?

yes. just use 7-zip to extract and the game runs fine from 3.55 and 3.41 with patched eboot

Just Great. I deleted the iso file after i extracted it. Now i have to download it ALL OVER AGAIN! :(
Y'know after extracting, I actually noticed that the "PS3_UPDATE" folder was named "PS3_UPDA". I had my suspicions about it at that time but like a fool I deleted the iso file.
