Thread: Trying to get LA Noire to play

I downloaded the L.A.Noire.USA.JB.PS3-APATHY release and I went by the following instructions:

LA Noire Confirmed working on CFW 3.55

After the release of a small patch and some minor editing LA Noire will work heres how:

This is for the BLUS version:

Change the PARAM.sfo of LA Noire to BLES00933
Change the PARAM.sfo of LA Noire required fw to 3.55 or let MM do it
Install the patch
sel+x multiman

So I opened PARAM.sfo in notepad and changed BLUS30554 to read BLES00933 and 03.6000 to read 03.5500 and re-saved it. I then installed the EP1004-BLES00933_00-PATCHLANOIRE0001-A0101-V0100-PE.pkg file and comes up as corrupted data when I try to run the game. I've tried on both internal and external hard drives. I thought the external was the problem because of the split files, but it wont work on internal either.



Here's my setup:

True Blue "3.55-Dongle" Custom Firmware v2
True Blue v2.5 Dongle Firmware
Multiman 04.00.00


Any ideas?

Remove the True Blue Dongle and try. Don't try it on EXTERNAL because there are glitches with speech and there's a texture problem.

L.A. Noire MUST be run only on INTERNAL if you don't want any glitches.

i just installed the first official patch and played it completely. my ps3 spoofed to 3.66 at that time

try without true blue dongle as advaithk said, this might help.

I got it to work by tracking down the BLUS30554 patch (UP1004-BLUS30554_00-PATCHLANOIRE0001-A0101-V0100-PE.pkg). Thanks for the help guys.
