Data consumption for online gaming on ps3
HI guys ,
I want to ask that if i am playing 6 hrs a day on my ps3 (FIFA 12), how much data it will consume in a month.
And will 4Mbps last enough or i must go for 8Mbps of internet speed. :hello:
Thank you!

online games doesnt consume much bandwidth but it requires lower latency.
I think I played WKC2 for 6 hours and theres only 30mb bandwidth used.

so what speed should i go for 8 or 4Mbps.
and how that latency thing can be lowered ...

hm, it doesnt matter if you have a slower bandwidth, I think 512kbps bandwidth will suffice for online gameplay.
To lower the latency, just stop any downloads on your PS3 (well it doesnt matter though since it automatically pause all downloads when you play online), and also stop all downloads on your PC/Laptop/Cellphones/Etc... that uses your internet connection.
To test if youre latency is low enough, just go to Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test and do a speed test. The thing you will need to lookout for is the "ms" thing, in my conenction, i got 9ms on my speed test. So you should have the same thing, or maybe a little higher, but make sure that the latency is not higher than 40ms or youll be defined youre connection is not suitable for online gameplay.
