Default Question about game that requires eboot fix like infamous 2 to play...

Hey would also like to ask that for games that requires an eboot fix to work like infamous 2, is it just as simple as dragging the cracked eboot and replacing it with the game that i downloaded in the usrdir folder? or is there more to it?

No usually not, that or just installing a patch. The instructions come usually with the game so just follow them and enjoy the games.

^The instruction just say replace the eboot file. So it's as simple as replacing the eboot file on the computer before using ps3splitter to split it right right? Sorry if I am being paranoid ... I am scared of bricking the ps3. By the way, what if you run the game that requires a higher firmware without applying the eboot fix? would that brick your console? Also, after applying it, will they ask me to update firmware in the game?

Yes, most of the time, it's as simple as replacing the eboot, so just follow the instructions, worst case scenario, it doesn't work.

No that won't brick your PS3 lol.

It just won't work if you don't apply the eboot/fix and it might ask you to update, and when you do, goodbye CFW :D

Edit: also when i game requires a disc to be inserted, does that mean i can just purchase any 2nd hand ps3 game and put it inside?

So for every games that requires 3.55+, I should go to update folder and check if theres any files inside and delete them? Cool didnt know that haha. Lastly, what's the difference between game updates and DLC? How do i get either of them?

3.55+ games they don't even have a patch...fancy if you can launch them by just deleting the update,no way!
