Can't find ps3 IP address?
Hey guys, when i checked system setting via multiman 2.09, it states my IP address as Ip unavailable. Can anyone else tell me what to do to find it? Also, multiman have a ftp function installed right? that means i dont have to install another one seperately? Lastly, anyone know how I can make the wordings on my ps3 bigger? It seems so smalll... thanks for all your help guys.
Edit: Also, I have a external hardrives with files I dont want to delete. Would the ps3 be able to play the games if i were to create a game folder and dump the games there even with all my other stuffs?
Edit 2: Hey would also like to ask that for games that requires an eboot fix to work like infamous 2, is it just as simple as dragging the cracked eboot and replacing it with the game that i downloaded in the usrdir folder? or is there more to it

Multiman has a built in FTP program that is easy to use. Access it from your games screen in multiman, just press triangle or square and it will bring up a list of different options, FILE MANAGER is one of them.
As for your external, it has to be FAT32 for the PS3 to recognise it, you have to have a folder named GAMEZ or GAMES to put your games in, I can't remember which one it is, one of the 2. Just put your game folders in there and MM will see them and you can play them. You can have as much other junk on your external as you want and it won't be deleted or anything when you plug it into your PS3.
Don't know about the IP address, I'll have a look when I get home. And as for the wording thing, sit closer, buy glasses or do what I did, buy a bigger TV. I used to hate trying to read txt in games, Two Worlds was just horrible on my little 21" CRT TV. Then I got a 32" LCD and now a 55" LED, the fonts are like 2" high each!!

Fat 32? How is that possible since most games are 4gb+?

actually, only an individual file has to be over 4GB not to work with FAT32. u can get around this by either extracting the psarc (this doesn't always work) file, splitting the file, or transferring the game to the internal hdd.

So I have to delete all 4gb files then convert it to Fat 32 eh... damn thats troublesome.... Btw, why is it that when i go to network settings>status, it shows my IP as automatic. I went to system settings and it shows as - . Damn what is wrong with my ps3? why is there not ip

u won't have to delete files. there is a program, I forgot the name of it (split something or other) that will scan ur games and split any file that is over 4GB. from my experience, the only file that is ever that large is a psarc file which is essentially like a zip or an exe containing thousands or tens of thousands of files within.
if ur not getting an ip, ur dns may be wrong. u may want to manually input a static ip which will all of the same info as ur computer but a different ip.
