Thread: i got my 3.55 ps3!!

hey ppl....ill try to make this short

i bought a used ps3 finally...i was wait on the 4.0 cfw but i guess that not happening anytime soon "since it had been put on ice"
well i got it today didnt get chance to work on it.so i want to ask some professional first....

ok well i have a few questions dont get me wrong i have read alot on this but still bear with me please

ok this is what i wanna do

1. play ps3 games
2. play psn gams/ps1 the downloadables ones
3. use dlc for games

thats it

so the ps3 came jailbroken backup manage and stuff but i want to erase all of the guy **** and start from strach i wanna be on ofw 3.55 and jailbreak and do everything myself...how do i do that excatly??
im goin to put kmew cfw 3.55
goin to use multiman...which version is best???
and well not sure bout the psn stuff read that i can used reactpsn but that was if the ps3 was ever on psn (i think)
but how do i find out if my one ever was?

please help me out with this just want your opinion and any other suggestions u might have

*If you wanna start from scratch from what the other guy put their including games.
After you install 3.55 OFW go back into the recovery menu and format the HDD*

Okay. If your on 3.41 or 3.55 CFW install 3.55 OFW through the recovery menu.
After your back on 3.55 OFW. *And after the HDD format* Install 3.55 Rebug and it's updates for the Rebug selector.
Go into Package Manager / PS3 Hard Disk and install BDEMU.pkg and Rebug selector 1.6.1.pkg
**Never touch any of the Debug Setting options unless you have read thoroughly on them**
I'm on the newest Multiman which is the CobraMultiman for all CFW..
It works the same but the Last Game app isn't working for me for some reason.
So it's up to you on Multiman with either the newest or the one before it..
With ReactPsn I'm still using the original where vsh files had to be copied.
It's hit and miss with users. Some have no problems, some catch RSOD (fixed by re-installing 3.55 firmware)
The newer version doesn't need this I think but I haven't had to use them.

In the uploader's threads be sure to read carefully on game compatiblity:

Internal HDD / External HDD
Requires ReactPsn
Requires True Blue
Etc.

Most PSN / PS1 / DLC is cracked to where it's just a pkg file and edat.
Try to stick to them to keep installs simple.

ReactPsn is Not needed with these psn / ps1 / dlc games.

I just want to say that Most Hated is right, if you want to play psn games and use dlc then you need to use Rebug instead of kmeaw If you go back to official and redo everything kmeaw will not allow you to use reactpsn since you will not be able to sign into the network to set up an account, you can get around this if you use Rebug. I am thinking switching over to Rebug for this reason. You should check to see if there is a user account for PSN before you start redoing it if you want to use kmeaw, maybe the previous owner had an account on that system.
