Thread: Can anyone identify this controller?

My brother gave me this controller because he couldn't get it to sync up and now neither can I. I wanted to Google it to get some info, but it's not marked at all. There's no name on numbers on it, only made in China on the back.

Here's a description of what I can see. It has a turbo button between the select and start buttons, under the orange button in the center it reads analog, it has an on / off button on the bottom right under the analog sticks, it has a battery compartment in the back that is removable so the battery can be changed. It has a rechargeable battery pack.

This is everything I know about it. I don't know if it's Bluetooth or if it needs a dongle. If it does need a dongle, we don't have it.

an xbox360 controller sleek with ps native buttons, never seen that before. it might get to work if you hook up with usb, other than that the ps3 doesn't support other controllers that are not listed. look for PS3 accessories:

It's not a 360 controller, although it does sort of resemble one. It's actually wider grip-wise than the standard PS3 controller. I plugged it in by usb to the console the same way you would a Bluetooth controller and it wouldn't sync. I don't see any other buttons on it to sync it. I don't know, I'd hate to just throw it away.

That looks like one of those 3rd party PS3 controller for people who converted from an Xbox and can't get used to the new shape... I have seen these before although not in that color scheme or quite in that layout, for example:



Most if not all of the ones I have scene require a dongle as they are wireless not bluetooth... I guess the first step is look real close all over to see if it is has a pin hole for syncing but short of that without some sort of marking it could be hard to determine who makes it.

isn't there a PS button or a cable to plug into ps3?

its for pc....try with usb...once i had a controller similar to this one...i used to play neo geo then...hahaa
