2 ps3 that i need to fix.
so i have 2 ps3 laying in my room open apart.
The 1st ps3 works fine except it does even recognize that there is a disk in the drive.
So how can i replaced the BR drive in it, i do have another one. I know you cant just swap them ive tried haha.
The 2nd ps3 when i turn on my PS3 the light goes green for about 20 seconds and nothing comes on screen, then they system turns off. I can get to service mode and i have tried every option on the list . what should i do to fix this? I can't do option 4 which is rebuild database because it says cant acess hard disk even though i have tried different hard drives including the one that works in my other ps3. when i try to update to 3.55 i get this message. "A serious error has occurred. Contact technical support for assistance (8002F281)
I do have a ipod that i have put rockbox on so i heard that can help in some way.
Help is incredibly appreciated.
THANKS!!!!!

Well for the 1st PS3, you could swap the BR drive and just make sure too use the Logic board from the original on the replacement, and see if it works then.
as for the second issue, I thinks its find a repair shop to fix it.Get an estimate on fixing it.

Then there must be something wrong with the logic board, or the replacement drive doesn't work either.
Does the disc spin when you changed Drives, but doesn't read anything? If the disc doesn't even spin, then there is something else wrong with the drive.
You would have to do the remarry process otherwise to put in new Blu ray drive.
